The RestaurantThe self-service restaurant is on the
lower ground floor, serving reasonably priced meals and light snacks. All students in single study bedrooms are on a meal plan that entitles them to breakfast and dinner each day plus lunch at weekends. In order to obtain their meal, residents must take their
Hall card to the restaurant. Flats’ and studios’ residents are welcome at any meal and can simply pay cash at the tills. In addition to varied meal plan menus, residents can purchase extra items such as drinks and confectionery.

Residents are required to vacate the restaurant 15 minutes after the end of service. Occasional changes to the usual times and menus may occur. These will be posted as early as possible.
Restaurant GuidelinesResidents may not take food, cutlery or crockery from the Restaurant. Food not obtained from the restaurant may not be consumed here and guests are not allowed unless they make a purchase.
Residents (and guests) are asked not to bring any bags or books into the Restaurant and to ensure that mobile phones are turned off. A reasonable standard of dress should be maintained. Shirts and shoes must be worn; dressing gowns and overcoats may not be worn.
The Catering and Bar service seeks to provide high quality, enjoyable and nutritious food, but regrets that special diets other than vegetarian cannot be accommodated. Catering and bar staff is required to show courtesy and consideration to Hall residents. In return, residents are expected to show respect to the staff and to raise any issues or problems in a sensible and constructive manner. A Duty Manager is always available. Unpleasant or unreasonable behaviour towards staff at any time may result in disciplinary action.
Services ConvenorsNormally, some members of the Hall
Club Committee undertake to provide a point of contact with the Catering Department. Services Convenors can be contacted with any ideas about Hall meals or special events.
Late MealsResidents requiring a late meal must produce written evidence from their College department that taught sessions prevent them returning by 7:30 pm on specified days of the week.
Self CateringThe studios and flats at International Hall are self-catered. Residents will need to provide their own pots, pans and utensils, crockery and cutlery. Residents are not allowed to bring in additional cookers, fridges or freezers. Studio flats have light cooking facilities (two rings and a combi-microwave) a fridge with a small icebox and a kettle. Lansdowne flats have larger kitchens with full size cookers, fridges, freezers, kettles and the majority have washing machines.
