Facilities
The Arcade
Situated near reception on the ground floor, this includes the following areas:
Café Bar
Situated in the conservatory overlooking the courtyard on the lower ground floor, the Café Bar is open throughout the evening, serving a wide range of snacks and drinks.
Digital TV and Video/DVD Rooms
These are located on the lower ground floor. They are rooms where food and drink should not be consumed.
Recreation Room
Located on the lower ground floor, this small hall with padded vinyl flooring is available for hire to the Hall Club or individual residents for organised events and activities, e.g. yoga classes, table tennis, etc.
Squash Court
Located on the lower ground floor at the end of the West Wing. The court can be booked for a small fee at reception, with room key being exchanged for tokens that operate the lights.
Common Rooms
All floors have a common room, equipped with TV.
Tea Rooms
These small kitchens provide kettles, fridges and microwave ovens on each floor for residents in single study bedrooms. They are to be used for making snacks and drinks and are not equipped for full meals.
Launderette
Coin operated washing machines, tumble dryers, ironing boards and irons are available in the launderette on the lower ground floor. Irons must not be used in study bedrooms. The majority of Lansdowne flats have washing machines.
Bike Store
A limited number of residents can register to keep bicycles in the Bike Store near reception. A deposit will be required for the key, returnable on departure.
Garden Room
This room looks into the Lansdowne courtyard. Families in the Lansdowne Flats may book it in advance only for social occasions. It contains baby change facilities as well as a small food preparation area.
Music Room
This is a partly soundproofed room in the lower ground floor. This room can be booked at reception.

- A range of vending machines providing hot and cold food and drink 24 hours a day
- An Internet computer room where drinks may be taken through
