Possession and use of controlled drugs is illegal and is a serious disciplinary offence in Hall. Residents’ using or possessing illegal drugs in Hall, or allowing them to be used in their room, are liable to be dismissed without notice and may have the matter referred to their College and/or the police. Any guests involved may similarly have their details passed on.
Drugs are injurious to health. Residents needing advice or further information on any drug-related problem should contact one of the
national helplines or support groups, or their own college Health Centre, where assistance will be non-judgmental and confidential. Anyone who has difficulty finding support is urged to talk to a Senior Member or the Welfare Officer at the
University of London Union (ULU).
The police are interested in patterns of supply of drugs. Any resident with information that could be helpful to the police is invited to share it with them.
