MailThis is placed in mail boxes in
reception for residents to collect. Parcels, registered mail and items that appear to be of value are retained behind reception and a note put in the mail box. ID will be required when collecting.
When they leave Hall, residents should ensure that all correspondents know of their address change, as no mail will be forwarded by the Hall. Any post arriving for non-residents will be returned to the
Post Office. The Hall cannot accept responsibility for mail that is returned or is reported as going missing from the mail boxes.
TelephonesResidents are provided with a telephone in their room. These phones are issued with an extension number which can be found from reception. These phones can then be used to place free calls within halls residence to other rooms. Members of the general public wishing to call rooms within the halls should dial 0207 822 3000, and enter the extension number when prompted.
The telephones within residents' rooms can only be used to call external numbers (excluding emergency numbers which are always free) once a deposit of £10 has been placed and a balance topped up. Pay telephones are located opposite reception.
DataThe University provides a direct link to each flat through the
academic network and a basic level of user support. The
Hall Regulations contain a section on acceptable use of the network and residents agree to abide by this when they sign the contract for accommodation.
FaxesThese can be sent and received at
reception and will be charged at prevailing rates.
