It is the time of the year when we sadly say goodbye to many of you. I hope that you have had an enjoyable and fruitful time at IH, and taken away some lasting memories of your time in the hall. Every year we have quite a few former residents visiting the hall with a lot of nostalgia for their time here and I would hope to see some of you among those visitors in years to come.
As you are preparing to move out, please note that you can donate any good quality unwanted clothes to British Heart Foundation, using the collection points opposite the mail pigeonholes and behind the screen in the atrium. Please also try to leave your room in the same state as you found it when you moved in.
For others who will be with us over the summer months, please note the IH events on this page, as well as our blogpost on picnic spots and places to visit over the summer. We will be screening many of the World Cup games, so watch this space (and check Facebook) for updates about the games that we are going to show.
Finally, our June IH Community Award goes to Bradley Peckham, better known to you as Brad, who is one of our maintenance staff. As one nomination form states, Brad is “brilliant at what he does, is very friendly and responds almost immediately to residents’ repair requests”. Brad is also noted for how he responds to requests to do with our “two beautiful gardens, the technical needs of which have been getting more numerous and complex lately”.
If you have any concerns or suggestions for summer events, you can always contact my team and me using our details here.
