Hanna Wasiak, this month's winner of the IH Community Award.

With the start of spring and the end of term, I hope that you will be able to enjoy a much needed break and recharge your batteries before the beginning of the exam season next month.

Our regular events will continue throughout the Spring break. IH’s CVC Tuesday nights start at 8pm in the Common room and this month we will have an Easter quiz on the 9th and games and pizza night on the 16th April. Yoga classes continue as usual on Mondays with Dynamic yoga at 5:30pm and Beginner’s yoga at 7pm in the Squash court. Cinema nights are also running as normal. Football sessions this month will be on Wednesday 10th at 6pm, Wednesday 17th at 5pm, and Tuesday 23rd at 4pm. You can find further details about all events on our website www.internationalhall.com/events.

The special event for the families this month is a Families Easter Party on the 27th April at 2pm in the Common room. Children will be able to decorate their own Easter Egg in our Crafts Corner and join an Egg Hunt in the Family Garden.

With the spring bringing back vibrant colours back to our gardens, this is the time of the year when everyone can get involved in taking care of our green spaces at IH. If you are interested in taking part in some light gardening activities, please get in touch with our Gardening Convenor Emmanuela at E.Bakola@warwick.ac.uk. No previous experience or knowledge is required, so everyone is welcome to join.

Please remember that supporting the residents’ wellbeing is my team’s top priority. A Resident Advisor can be approached through the Reception between 6pm-8am on weekdays and throughout weekends and bank holidays. I am also available to meet with you by appointment or during my Open Office on 9th April from 6-7pm.

Finally, this month's winner of the IH Community Award is Hanna Wasiak, one of our catering staff. As the nomination forms state, Hanna has been phenomenal at supporting IH events this year and she makes dining downstairs a pleasant experience. Please do congratulate her the next time you see her in the dining hall. Please note that through this award residents bring recognition to junior staff’s outstanding contribution to the community at IH. You can nominate a member of staff here.

Best wishes,
Saeed
